Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Are you a Senior Infrastructure Engineer looking for a new challenge?
We are recruiting for a Senior Infrastructure Engineers to join our team. This role requires someone to work in a fast-paced environment, supporting a large, complex legacy estate. The highly motivated Engineer will join a team of experienced Infrastructure Engineers. Knowledge is openly shared, and solutions are driven as a team.
There is a mixture of BAU activities and a large project pipeline, requiring multi-disciplined engineer, with a proven project track record.
This will involve working as part of a team, assisting with planning, design and commissioning of new client requirements. Open communication is key, and the candidate should have excellent communication skills and great attention to detail. This role offers Hybrid-remote working with infrequent travel to Manchester but can be based anywhere in the UK.

What you’ll be doing:

* To provide 2nd/3rd Line support to Sopra Steria clients.
* Deliver ITIL driven support via “Incident, Problem, and Change “.
* Engaging in pre-sales activities to scope out potential solutions.
* Accurately assess effort and cost involved with implementation.
* Have an active role in delivering new solutions to our clients.

What you’ll bring:
* Citrix xenapp and e xtensive experience in supporting Windows Server .
* Active Directory / DNS / DHCP / PowerShell / Group Policies
* Supporting a large VMware estate.
* Office 365, Intune, Windows Defender
* Application packaging solutions – preferably appV
* Understanding of core networking

It would be great if you had:
* Cloud (AWS, Azure)
* An understanding of Linux
* Experience managing shared storage infrastructure – Netapp 7mode/Cdot
* Project management experience
* Accreditation to technical level or equivalent essential (ex: MCSE) and accreditation in another technology area preferred.
