Who Supports Ukraine

In a difficult time of struggle for freedom, real friends like Norway, Sweden, Australia are by Ukraine’s side.

Work on international security guarantees for Ukraine continues.

We are thankful to former NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen for his direct participation in the process necessary for our country. For the agreement to head together with Andriy Yermak a platform that can fundamentally develop specific security guarantees for Ukraine. It is important to bring together powerful, strong experts who have practical experience.

Jonas Gahr Store, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Norway, arrived in Kyiv on July 1 and met with Volodymyr Zelensky. Volodymyr Zelenskyy said: “I continue meetings with our partners and welcome Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store to Kyiv. The support of your country is important and valuable for us, as well as the fact that you are standing by Ukrainians today.”

Volodymyr Zelenskyy discussed with Jonas Gahr Store the strengthening of sanctions on the aggressor and further defense support. They touched upon the restoration of our state after the war. For us it is important that Mr. Prime Minister visited the areas affected by the Russian occupation in Chernihiv region and saw with his own eyes the consequences of crimes. Thank you for the visit and powerful help to our state. We will never forget it.

Australia also supports Ukraine and provides substantial aid, including defense one.

We are pleased to welcome Prime Minister of Australia Anthony Albanese to Kyiv. This is the first visit of the Australian Prime Minister to our capital in the history of our state relations. We appreciate and are grateful for his presence here with us at this time – the war of Russia against the Ukrainian people.

Security cooperation and further protection of freedom were the key topics of talks with Anthony Albanese. Volodymyr Zelenskyy also discussed with Anthony Albanese the food crisis provoked by Russia, economic challenges, and the need to enhance macro-financial support for Ukraine. We appreciate Australia’s willingness to join the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine.

We were pleased to meet Prime Minister of Sweden Magdalena Andersson! This is her first visit to Kyiv, and it is very productive. We are thankful for your solidarity with Ukrainians and the support for our course towards full-fledged accession to the EU in the future.

Yesterday, in a joint statement with Prime Minister of Sweden Magdalena Andersson, Volodymyr Zelenskyy set out the key issues for both our countries. These are defense cooperation, cooperation in the fields of nuclear energy and energy efficiency, and financial support for Ukraine. This is the first such document in the history of bilateral relations between our countries.

“I am grateful for the meeting and willingness to further support our state!”- Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
