Facebook Finally Offers Live Chat Support For Account Issues

And users only had a chance of bringing an account back. It was not guaranteed.

For example, the company has been caught lying about specifically targeting teens with ads. Facebook also has an ongoing issue with letting stolen content spread and get reposted on its platform but doesn’t want to do much about it.

But there’s good news. Facebook announced via a press release that the company will offer live support options for creators and those locked out of their accounts. The company says it will focus on helping users whose accounts were locked due to unusual activity or accounts that were suspended due to a violation of Facebook’s community standards. The new live chat functionality will be available for all English-speaking users globally. For creators, Facebook will be offering a live support option to answer various questions, including the”status of a pay-out to questions about a new feature like Reels.”The company says this option will be available for a small number of creators for now and will start inviting more creators down the line. The live chat option for creators will be limited to English-speaking users in the United States. At this time, it’s unclear who Facebook is allowing in the test.

A Step In The Right Direction
Facebook says this is the first time the company has offered live chat for users locked out of their accounts. And that’s great news for anyone who’s currently locked out of their account. Before this, as mentioned earlier, Facebook required users to fill out a form and go through a long, drawn-out process to have their accounts looked at by Facebook. This process would take anywhere between a few days to a few weeks, depending on how long it takes Facebook to respond.

Overall, this is excellent news for creators and users alike. It gives creators a quick and easy way to ask questions or raise concerns. And for users, it’s a much more efficient way to talk to someone regarding a suspended or banned account. Facebook certainly isn’t bulletproof and will make errors in the accounts it suspends or bans.
